Our Challenge
To create a 24 meter single span pedestrian structure out of timber and steel. The design inspired by a Waka to bring in the history of the area. This structure had to be cost effective, low maintenance, sustainable and lightweight.

Our Solution
The main structure was prefabricated in Levin and transported to site where the fins were attached and decking was added. This was then craned into place onto concrete supports to minimise impacts to the riverbed. An awesome result overall with a low maintenance, cost effective and appealing structure.
